GP Appointments

We currently have 7 GP's at our practice who offer face to face and telephone consultations. There is a two week rule set up by the GP's that receptionists have to follow. They cannot book a GP appointment past the 2 week period. This is to prevent patients having to wait a long period of time for an appointment and also to reduce the appointments that are not attended.

Book On The Day

We have a limited amount of book on the day appointments. We recommend that you either call at 8am for an appointment or use our Accurx tool. Accurx is open from 7am-6:30pm each day. Book on the day appointments are generally designed for new medical issues or acute problems.

Musculoskeletal

Musculoskeletal problems are seen by our in house first contact practitioners. We have 3 in total whose sessions are either on a Tuesday or a Thursday. They specialise in musculoskeletal issues and they are able to refer you on to secondary care.

Nurse Appointments

If you have been asked to book an appointment through a text message, you can follow the link attached and book directly into our appointment system, without having to speak to a receptionist. If you have any queries, please call reception.

Pharmacists

Our clinical pharmacist are able to offer medical reviews and deliver minor ailment clinics. The medical reviews can be either face to face or a telephone consultation. These are available to book online through patient access. Both pharmacists can perform Pill Reviews. If you are due for a pill review, we will invite you using a self book link. This link will allow you to book in with the pharmacists for all available appointments.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

This is set up so you will receive a reminder 7 days and 24 hours before an appointment. It will also send you a link so that you are able to cancel your appointment automatically, if necessary.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

To request this service, please email: saxilby.glebe@nhs.net stating this request.

Enhanced Access

We are pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments in the evenings and weekends.

The new service is part of an extended access service which has been commissioned by NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group.

The appointments will also be available on bank holidays including across Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.

Extended hours appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments.

The service is being delivered by Cleveland Surgery on behalf of all of the practices in the area.  If a patient wishes to attend an extended hours appointment they will need to travel to Cleveland Surgery and will NOT see their own GP.

Appointments are available between 18:30 and 20:00 Monday - Friday, 10:00 to 12:00 noon Saturdays and 10:00 to 11:30 on Sundays.

To arrange an appointment or for more information on when and where appointments are available, speak to the practice receptionist or member of the practice team, or call us on 01522 305298.

Interpreter

If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.

Chaperone

If you require a chaperone during your appointment please let us know and we can arrange for someone to accompany you during an examination or private discussion.
